RADAR is a non-profit corporation, which has provided rural public transit services and specialized transit primarily in the “Greater Roanoke Valley” for over 40 years. RADAR services are aimed at physically, mentally disabled, or transportation disadvantaged individuals. Our drivers are trained in passenger assistance, defensive driving, and wheelchair securement procedures to make your trip safe and enjoyable.

Recent Announcements

UPDATE Tuesday September 5, 2017: Due to construction that has closed a bridge in Covington, there is a section of the Mountain Express route that won’t be accessible this week. This includes West Edgemont Drive, South Carpenter Drive, and the Whitey’s One Stop convenience store time stop.  If the construction project finishes on time, we’ll be back to our normal route starting next Monday, 9/11.

PART has expanded! Click here for a map and schedule for the expanded service. The service will continue to operate from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm from Monday through Friday.
